Marie-Victorin Herbarium (Université de Montréal Biodiversity Centre-MT)

The Marie-Victorin Herbarium houses about 584,640 specimens of vascular plants, including some 1,072 types. These specimens originate mainly from Eastern North America, particularly from Quebec and Newfoundland. The Herbarium also has international coverage, notably from North America, Europe and Cuba. The bryophytes collection includes about 50,000 specimens. The majority is from the Montreal area, with the remainder originating from the rest of Quebec and North America.
